Bomba Tapas Bar and Rooftop
Returning to our Spanish roots, we created Bomba Tapas Bar. We commit to always serve local and fresh seasonal food but delve deeper into what we know and love - flavoursome, simple, well executed and affordable Spanish Tapas.
Came here for the workers lunch with my co workers and the experience was amazing. Food is absolutely delicious and you get quite a lot for only $15! Vibe is very sociable and it's very easy to converse with people! Absolutely love it and would definitely recommend it to anyone in the city.
Spanish tapas and drinks on a Friday night after work is so much fun. Bomba Tapas Bar and Rooftop is a great place to get together and enjoy a variety of dishes that is just enough to satisfy each tapas that comes out. Between three people we ordered a great selection to share, Paella with braised duck, piquillo pepper & chicharrones, charcoal grilled corn with dried maize, tortilla with paprika alioli on toast, quail with pistachio & buckwheat, pork belly on mash, patatas bravas, leek and manchego croqueta, moorish spiced lamb cutlet - perfect. Bomba is quite a loud environment to be dining and lights are dim but it really sets a great atmosphere to be dining and having casual drinks. Although prices are a bit high i think for tapas but it doesn't seem to stop people from enjoying the evening. i think going with a large group of friends will make the experience enjoyable. i do recommend booking in advance.
My friend who is a massive foodie was raving about this place and I suppose with a 90% rating on urbanspoon, you cant go wrong.
Dined here on a Friday night with another girlfriend. I arrived at 6.50pm and within 10 minutes there was a seat (thankfully). We were seated at the bar and found that the kitchen staff were very professional. What stood out the most was the ambience and the impeccable service we received all night. The drinks menu was extremely reasonable unlike other places where you can pay up to $13 for a glass they had drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) which started at $8. This place has a fun modern Spanish inspired tapas style menu. The quail and the pepes were so good that we ordered a second round. The corn was extremely tasty. We'd be back in a flash just for the service and inviting atmosphere at Bomba.
Tonight I felt like something tasty but but not huge - and I found it here. I enjoyed Beetroot & Goats Curd toasts and Chargrilled Asparagus with Slow Cooked Egg. Truly delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and service is good. I will come again - no question. Thank you.
