Popped in here on a little walk around Surry Hills. I love bagels. Quite possibly one of my favourite foods. I was torn as I love getting a rye one with cream cheese or corned beef and pickles. I was feeling really hungry so went with the latter. You can choose your own bagel, there is "everything", or sourdough rye or poppy seed, blueberry, gluten free or cinnamon and raisin (which smelt like an amazing donut). I went for the midtown on rye. This was a huge chunk of corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, Mustard Mayo (could have been more flavoursome), dill pickles. Bagel wasn't too dense, really nice actually. I loved it. They also have food options other than bagels, like deli plates, bubbles and squeak, speck and egg rolls, salad or wraps. Plenty of drink options too. Great bagel joint.

BEST coffee in Surry Hills that I've had so far. I waited about 20 mins but it was all worth the wait! Their bagels are really tasty too! Such an original place, my office is recently moving to Surry Hills so I'll definitely be coming back for more coffee and more bagels!

Situated in the fringe of the hip area of Surry Hills and tucked minutes away from the major Railway crowd, Brooklyn Hide is certainly a hidden gem for those who crave for all things bagel. They serve both sweet and savoury bagels of various kinds (including their signature bagels) using the pick your bagel type ordering system - in addition to the usual hot and cold beverages range.

First, you would pick the bagel (which includes blueberry flavours and also gluten free options). Then you can add sides for $6. I tried out their Hells Kitchen bagel, which is basically a bagel with prosciutto, avocado, and some other ingredients. The size was standard (not too large) but it tasted very clean, fresh, and delicious.

The place has a bar / lounge feel with dark-ish ambiance of high tables and stools. Although I was only there for a takeaway, the staffs were very courteous and polite.

Good coffee, good bagels at a decent price, good vibes from the staff, and a very short wait. With a lot of choice around, I tend to go here most days to grab my morning coffee or brekkie on the go.

Great coffee. Awesome bagels. Really nice vibe. Great for a winters morning catch up.
