Discount Digital Photographics is located in North Sydney & Brisbane, Australia. We primarily operate as an Internet business to keep our costs down. These savings are passed on to our customers. We also offer a convenient pickup service for you in both stores.
We would like to think we can supply you with some or all of the equipment you're looking for. There are many, many good products around and to some extent, choice is really an individual thing. We try to stock items we think are good quality, have good value, and that meet the needs of most of our customers. However, should you be seeking any photographic item we don't stock, just ask us. We can often source the products you want at a very competitive price for you.

Purchased two Nikon D810 not knowing we were purchasing parallel goods or grey goods, according to fair trading if you are purchasing parallel goods the seller needs to make you aware, there was no mention of it.
Tried to refund the two cameras but DDP did not comply. One of the cameras has a broken in-built flash and the other is missing things from the box.
Stay away from these guys. I'm stuck with a broken camera for $3300. Not just that the camera isn't new as it has shutter clicks on it and is obviously damaged.
When we were in the shop seeking a refund they just laughed. We will see if fair trading has such a sense of humour.
Avoid these guys and buy from Digital Camera Warehouse.
STAY AWAY OR YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR MONEY!!!
I bought $1700 worth of goods from them on the 2nd of October, told it will be a 2 week wait for the lens, which was fine. Then after 3 weeks, told it will be in the next week, then every time they called they would tell me a different story. They have now sold the business, and the new management are taking no responsibility for any of their old customers, they just give you a number to call. No one responds to the messages, now there is a message saying the voice box is full, they won't respond to my emails. Ive just launched an appeal with my bank against them, and it will take up to 2 months to "hopefully" get my money back!!! I have never experienced anything like this. STAY AWAY!
I have bought lenses from DDP before without a drama but my current drama has made me want to boycott them all together:
I placed a $1439 order on the 28th Sep 2013 and paid in full in store, and so far received nothing.
During this time the business has been bought buy an Australian group (still trading as DDP with the same staff members at the counter). Now i am being told i have to get a refund from the previous owner (which is overseas), HAH.
They have not changed staff in store and i have had good dealings with them. But being told to your face by a shop they can not issue a refund is a joke in Australia. Whats stopping them from changing ABN's and business owners next month.
oh and the previous owner has made no contact at all to its customers.
The current DDP is cutting all ties with old orders.
Any advise welcome
Very cheap prices. You are probably here because DDP have the cheapest prices on the product you are after and you want to find out if they are legit or not. They are, I have ordered well over 5 times from DDP in the past 6 years and had no hassles. Items always arrive well packaged and in great condition. I have mates that live in Sydney who pick theirs up from the North Sydney warehouse. I personally get mine ordered and delivered. You can't lose either way.
Buyer definitely beware. I did my research about what I wanted to buy before going ahead with the purchase. Ordering a Canon 6d, a bunch of lenses, a flash and a bag. I was told I'd be looking at 2 weeks. So I ordered. Advised 10-15 working days. All good. 15 working days come not a mention from DDP.
I email them and no response. 3 emails later I finally get a response in very bad English. Saying there is currently a Tornado in HK and there would be a 3 ...read more
