It was a good school, from a student's perspective. We also had fun although disicpline was never far away. All the teachers were lovely, smart people. They all knew what they were doing, and they all wanted to be there with us kids. Money was never wasted, as there were certainly lots of fundraisers. There is only a little education gap between me and private school kids. And yes we had less opportunites but we certainly didn't lack them.
Both our kids continued to be happy here all the way through their primary schooling, and we were happy too (and we've got friends who chose to send their son here on our advice - they're happy too!). Think it's because it's small enough to have a close-knit feel (though they do miss out on a few things because they're not big), teachers are available for feedback, principal's door is usually open, discipline is fair and rules are made clear to everyone. Great school all round.
This is a great school with a very active parent participation in ensuring that the school runs well and the students and teachers are well supported to undertake thier valuable role of teaching our kids. The school garden is thriving and the healthy canteen ensures that the kids understand the advantages of eating well. There is a balance to the school community which means that academic, sporting and social results all get equal footing.
