Hillside Hotel

If you're into rowdy disgusting overpacked venues, then HillSide Hotel is for you. Very poorly managed place. We went to this place expecting to have a good night and were instead confronted by rude and aggressive security guards, unfriendly staff and expensive drinks. We won't be going there again and I don't recommend it.

I've been to pubs with more class than this place. Not recommended.

As a Hillside regular for many years, this is a great local place to go for a few drinks and a decent cheap meal ($6 pizza Wednesday's)! They often have cheap meal deals and fantastic acoustic musicians playing in the courtyard in the evenings.

The $15/20 cover charge on Friday nights is a big turnoff - this is a local pub, not a big nightclub in the city! And the DJs on Friday and Saturday nights seem to play the same average set week in, week out.

despite these little things, I always have a good time there!

Great place to go for a few drinks or have a cheap meal (and the food is actually quite decent)! Their $12 schnitzels are actually amazing. The venue can be fun on Friday & Saturday nights for drinks but I wouldn't say that it's classy.
