Locantro Fine Foods

I've lived in Leichhardt for 14 years. Locantro quickly became part of my weekly routine and is now insperable from the Leichhardt experience. This place is powered by the Locantro family and I love saying hi to whoever happens to be around on a Saturday morning. Great coffee and the freshly bake pastries are terrific. Plus on special occasions (cakes for Christmas, and catering morning tea for my work) they always deliver the goods. A neighbourhood gem that is worth visiting - many times.

I had a quiche here and whilst I'm not a big quiche eater this quite simply has to be the best quiche I have ever ever eaten. So delicious, simply amazing, too good to be true. It was the kind of food my Dad would have travelled from or end of Sydney to the other because it was so good. It was a caramel used onion and red pepper quiche so maybe I wasn't expecting much. Wow!!!! I will come again.

This cafe is a fun place to visit. The sweets are to die for but the coffee is not all that great. Hospitality is good...a real family vibe going on there. Would rate it better if opened on Sundays.
