I was attracted by the sign outside "The best felafel and kebab in Melbourne" so six of us tried it out. For me the mixed vegetarian was a disappointment but others who had the mixed grill rated it above average. Pita bread was served whole sealed in plastic straight off the supermarket shelf. The ambience and service is dismal. Nevertheless I must declare that the baba ghanouj dish is one of the best I ever tasted anywhere.
There is no way to avoid the fact that unless you are of Middle Eastern appearance you will be treated very poorly by the staff here. Whether you're seated or standing at the counter, prepare to be ignored. If you're lucky enough to be served your food will general just be dropped in front of you with no niceties whatsoever. Even waiting to pay is a challenge. The food is ok but not worth being made to feel so unwelcome at every opportunity.
Our new favorite restaurant! Don't expect the greatest service in a the beginning but the food more than makes up for it. This is middle eastern food made with love and you get the same incredible food each time you go. We've become addicted to the food here which has made the wait staff remember us and take better care of us, throwing in extra food etc. Oh and did I mention the value? You get alot more than you pay for...they once fed 10 of us for only $120 including drinks!! you will not be disappointed!
