Pana Chocolate
Pana Barbounis founded Pana Chocolate with the vision of creating a chocolate the whole world could enjoy.
chocolate that's smooth, rich and silky. Chocolate that's full of antioxidants, amino acides, vitamins and minerals and chocolate without preservatives, that's vegan, gluten free, dairy free and soy free.
Pana's chocolate would make people stop, to enjoy a myriad sensations: cacao melting on the tongue, surprising bursts of citrus or herb, the sweetness of agave, the character of coconut; a sophisticated chocolate that is at once smooth and textured, sweet and ...read more
Say the words: Pana Chocolate, and most vegans start grinning. Those in the know say, it’s quite possibly the best vegan chocolate out there, and many list Cinnamon as a firm favourite. With an ingredient list that’s basically cacao powder, coconut oil, and dark agave syrup - plus whatever essential oils, nuts or fruit you might select - it’s also going to appeal to those who treat their body as a temple, by only imbibing raw or organic produce.
For healthy desserts free from preservatives, dairy, soy, gluten and refined sugar, make your way over to Pana Chocolate.
Their beautifully handcrafted cakes can be seen being made through the floor to ceiling window that runs along the back of the store. Warning: It is totally mesmerising to watch.
As the name suggests, there are also chocolates - raw, organic with wonderful flavours.
I was thrilled to find Pana Chocolate had opened in Alexandria. Their chocolates and slices are gluten, dairy and refined sugar free and delicious! Slices look delicious with a variety of gorgeous edible decorations: rose petals, berries, nuts and chocolate. Staff are friendly and helpful and will offer you some tastes of slices on offer to help you choose.
There are also blocks of handmade chocolate to buy and my faves are Coconut and Goji or Mint but there are many to try. Their drinks are limited but there are two coffee shops offering more varieties in the same space and you are welocme to bring those to the tables. Bright happy atmosphere with a great collection of positive messages on the wall. One of my happiest places to enjoy in Sydney.
Located at the modern indoor food market that is very well known to locals and a niche of foodies, Pana Chocolate is like a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Occupying one intimate corner of the warehouse-turned-commercial, the place has both indoor and outdoor settings filled with Scandinavian-style decor of bright wooden furniture and white overtones.
During my visit last month, the place sells cheesecake slices ($8 each), small & medium sized chocolate items to be bought per piece, as well boxed chocolates ($6.90 to $29.90 depending on size) and many other sweet ...read more
