I would not recommend this dance studio. My daughter goes to this dance studio and I have been frustrated so many times due to class cancellation. I had a word with the teacher and then i got the cold shoulder ever since. The owner has now made the student teacher message me instead when class is cancelled. Class are also not for the full hour either. I can understand students doing the teaching for extra curriculum but have a back up teacher just in case the student is either sick or wants to find a job as this has happen to me. It's just a horrible experience and I would never go back there.
My eledest daughter has been dancing at Sharmels now for 16 years, my second for ten years and my youngest for 7yrs. I have the teacher's and staff to be very friendly and kind towards all the students and parents at the school. Sometimes the cancellation of classes is out of the teachers hands due to sickness, competitions etc, but have always found that ample notice is given to the parents and students over the years at the academy. I don't know if your a first time parent to the dance world, but unfortunalety these things do happen. :)
I have been a parent and a student at Sharmels for many years and have found the staff to be fantastic. I have made many friends over the years and so have my children. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. The students do very well in competitions and that is because of the wonderful teachers they have.
It is ana amzing academy and i have learnt so much from the few years ive been here, i still go there now and have no regrets choosing this academy, and i hope to stay here for along long, long time!
My Daughter has been dancing At Sharmels Dance Academy Now for the past 7 years, I have nothing but praise for the School, the Teachers and the staff are friendly and very caring with all the students. My daughter has learnt so much in her time at the Academy and has gone on to do exceptionally well in her exams and competitions in which she takes part in. The School has all facilities and is fully equipped in which the students require. I have no hesitation in recommending Sharmels Dance Academy to anyone . Well done To the teachers !!! Keep It Up ..
I have found that over the many years dancing at Sharmels I have had so much fun and made some wonderful friends. The teachers and students are a wonderful group. My children have also enjoyed their time dancing and hope to continue for many years. The students all do so well at competitions which is thanks to the fabulous teachers.
It is located in an uninsulated shed in a very industrial area of Salisbury, next to a mechanic in fact. I found the students and teachers alike are not very friendly and when I quit I was abused and one of the teachers even tried to claim that I owed them money and threatened me for it back. There is also a very unprofessional vibe in my opinion in comparison to other dance schools, e.g: lack of uniform, unruly students and inadequate facilities (we even had to use fold-out chairs in place of a real barre). Not worth my money, I did a month there and will never go back!
