Stra Hjk Korean Restaurant

A casual Korean eatery offering lots of braised dishes, soups, hot pots & Korean sausages, the food is delicious & comforting. The pork bone soup with rice was tasty, warm, comforting and satisfying. The Korean "blood sausage" has vermicelli inside & similar texture to a blood sausage & is quite bland on its own but very tasty with the flavoured salt that accompanies it. Kimchi is very disappointing & not proper fermented Kimchi as my Korean friend pointed out. It appeared to be cooked cabbage doused in sweet chilli sauce & missing the chilli element & is way too sweet. Overall, a enjoyable casual meal with friendly service.

Nearly 1 hour trip to Strathfield to have a traditional pork stew at this place. I have to admit, it was worth it. Traditional pork stew is one of the rarest dishes that you could find in Sydney. And this place offers that dish. My wife found Stra HJK(Haejangkuk), where happens to be the best one among all those few places that offer the dish.

If you're looking for a quick tasty meal, this is the place. The Main dish that took it to popularity is the hot spicey pork soup. It is large bone pork in hot soup and it's a popular korean dish. The price is also very good.

Fantastic food, comfortable atmosphere, I really enjoyed my dinner.
