The Grove Establishment

Popped in for a cold drink after work with some colleagues recently at the downstairs bar and had a nice catch up sitting outside and enjoying a cold bubbles.
Staff were friendly and it was no problem to start a tab going for the afternoon.

Love going to lunch here with friends, I can't advise on anything other than the smoked chicken salad lunch special on the menu, because I just can't go past it and have it every time - yum! Also used to go to Tuesday trivia at the Roots bar, cheap pizza ($10 for pizza and a pot of beer) and a great fun trivia night - but I haven't been for ages due to time constraints, so not sure whether the specials are still the same, or if trivia is still run by the same gentleman who did it so well back then...

The only reason my review isn't getting four or five stars is that I have found over the years that the service in the restaurant section can be variable - sometimes great, sometimes very lack-lustre and uninterested. Unfortunately not super-conducive to large group bookings for that reason. But for a casual lunch or dinner I have never been disappointed by the food and the cocktails in the Roots bar downstairs are delicious :-)

Poor food, terrible service, and overpriced. There is no redeeming feature of this place. A takeaway hawaiian pizza had a total of 9 tiny pieces of pineapple on it, and not much else. Upon calling the restaurant to advise them of this, we were told they were too busy to hear our complaint and then promptly hung up on us. Absolutely disgraceful, and will be sure that others know this.

Fantastic. Great cocktails which were true works of art and delicious! Excellent venue with room to relax - nice sofas downstairs to sit about with that yummy cocktail. Meals were delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. Thanks The Grove Establishment!

Beautiful restaurant - amazing food - great friendly service - at reasonable prices. Would definately recommend to anyone for a great night out :-)
