Twentieth Century Antiques & Collectables
33 McLean St
Coolangatta, QLD, 4225
Wow!! The first impression I had walking through the doors of this unique store (warehouse would maybe suit better). Upon entry there are rows and aisles of collectible goodies, antiques, modern collectible and much, much more.
For the untrained eye you would think this place is a museum
rather than antiques, which may give you an idea of the size of this store.
Although organised, there is a lot to look at so best to plan a bit of time to allow for casual browsing.
Parking is timed on Maclean Street so you need to watch not to lose track of time.
Twentieth Century Antiques & Collectables at Coolangatta is really a museum, with some items dating back well over 100 years old. It's really fascinating to walk through. Sometimes a bit scary when you find things from your childhood & realize how old you're getting! Haha.
There's antique radios, cameras, phones, prams, clothing, dolls, fishing equipment, lighting, books, furniture & loads more. This antique shop is made up of lots of little shops belonging to individual sellers who pay a commission on items sold.
Right at the very front of the store is an old-fashioned barber shop. The young guy that works there has the complete 50's look, the vintage barbers chairs & everything. It's very cool & he has a good following.
Definitely worth a look through here when you have a spare couple of hours. And if Kevin is there that day, have a chat with him. He's a really interesting old bloke with lots of stories! :)
