The only thing that counts with Insurance is when you make a claim. Look at all the people in QLD who have paid house insurance for years and have had their claims refused on a technicality. Same with car insurance. 1 300 Car Insurance is provided by Auto and General. You may get cheap insurance but they are hopeless when it comes to claims. The accident was not my fault. After getting a different story every time I called, it took one month to get my claim approved as their assessor hadnt lodged his report (i had to chase him myself!!). Finally the claim was approved and repair authorised and I thought I was nearly there. But No, it is now two months since the accident and I still do not have my car!! Once again, every communication is a new story. And they are now blaming the car manufacturer for lack of parts. I
Cheap is not best. Go for an insurer who has a good reputation for claims! Do not use 1 300 Insurance!
Couldn't believe how easy it was to get all my insurance sorted out online - and how much cheaper it was too. I did my car insurance through 1300 insurance and ended up with by far the best quote and value for money - using them for my travel insurance later on in the year too.
