Asked to fix a leak on an evaporative air-conditioner. Said he couldn't fix it, and that he had instead turned off the water to the unit. Charged $400. When we called the company who originally installed the AC to check it, they said that this plumber had cut the water supply pipe and sealed the end of it in teh roof, instead of simply going out onto the roof and turning off the stop-cock. The installers had to insert a piece of pipe to repair the damge caused by this plumber. When we called the plumber to ask what had happened, all we got was a barrage of swearing and an abrupt hang-up. DO NOT USE THIS SERVUCE!!!!
As with Sam, we agreed to a quote to replace two cisterns. Thinking the quote rather excessive but unfamiliar with replacement costs we agreed to $1,230. After two hours we were presented with a bill for $1,342 - the receipt was not itemised. I then took it upon myself to check the price of the two cisterns, $198. Further investigations revealed the cisterns could have been repaired with $8 replacement kits. As it was a public holiday, we would have been happy to pay their call-out costs. I have since contacted the VBA, they then responded with the required Compliance Certificate - I have submitted a detailed complaint to Consumer Affairs Victoria.

We recently used this company to come out and fix a burst water pipe. The advertise themselves as "your local plumber" but they are far from it.
Spent less than 2 hours on site (30 minutes of which was apprently out getting parts for the job)
They ran a temp hose from the mains to under the house and then, when we had the audacity to ask them how much it would be for that day as we were going to get a quote for the rest later, the plumber imediately becam disgruntled and wouldnt tell me the cost. Provided me with a quote to do a job. Ended up charging me a couple hundred over the quote and the problem wasn't even fixed.
Demanded more money to come back and complete the job. Got agressive and threatning when i refused to pay for an incompelte job.
Very dodgy Avoid at all costs!
