A - Down Under Mobile Mechanics

Absolute joke of a business, seemed to not understand the work, hook up spotlights and LED bar, left wiring all over the car in unsafe from heat places have to unhook lights completely in order to change battery, then tried to charge us $550 for 2/3's of a job he quoted us $250-350 on for the complete job. Every other auto electrician we rang quoted 2-3 hour job (as he also quoted) and same price range for all 3 jobs. he was here for 5 hours and only completed two jobs incompedently. He was told the make and model of the car before quoting. sounded unconfident on the phone, even less confident in person.
Attacked us verbally after we refused to pay the ridiculous price increase because of his utter incompedence.

I contacted this business to query if they undertake pre-purchase caravan inspections. When ringing back to book the service the 'gentleman' I spoke with was extremely rude and I was made to feel I was inconveniencing him. I did not proceed with the booking and went elsewhere. And thank goodness after reading these reviews.

Called a down under Mobile Mechanics to come look at my car, was running rough and he told me that it needed a headgasket. the owner said he could have my car towed to his workshop where he would repair it. But the repair cost would out weigh the car value. Called my nephew who is a 2nd year apprentice mechanic, he spent $15 on spark plugs and it now runs fine. I'm disgusted

Had an electrical fault in my Hyundai, made a big mistake calling this company. They arrived promptly but really I had no confidence after watching them trying to diagnose the fault. They had no idea what was wrong, told me they would have to send a tow truck to go to their workshop for further investigation and call me later in the day to organise things but never heard from them again. Charged me $110
Took car to a reputable auto elect had it fixed within 2 hours
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere

Worst experience I had with A-Downunder mobile mechanic, didn't do the job properly and my car was running worse after they left. Rang them up and told them about the problem and he was saying that shifter cable has nothing to do with speedo and no 1st gear, ect. and it it must be some other issue. They came back 2 days later just to realise it was their mistake about the 1st gear just a small ajustment and no charge, but with the speedo it wasn't their fault so if i pay him another $130 he can tell me what is wrong! I went to different mechanic today and my car is running perfectly now, problem was whoever done the shifter cable didn't put the speedo sensor back on !!! They charged me a lot of money and couldn't even fix it, didn't even take my car for a test drive and tried to get more money out of me for their mistake, shame on you guys!
