We serve up comfort food with a cosy, warm and friendly atmosphere. If you think comfort means boring, then think again. Our comfort food comes with a twist that aims to pleasantly surprise while still staying true to the roots.
We focus on using seasonal produce to create smells and tastes that take you home and our coffee is supplied by local Brisbane boutique roaster, Black Sheep Coffee. And just between us, we'll have you know that we serve up the best coffee on the street.
These our local shops and nothing better has happened than to have Abode Cafe open up in the peaceful little courtyard gardens. It's not a big space, but service is genuine, friendly and laid back. Food is nearly all made on site, including the delicioius relishes and jams. Coffee is by Black Sheep and it's consistantly good, really good. Prices are fair and good value for the portion sizes of the food. The menu is compact choice of unique and tasty dishes. My favourite is the savoury mince, however the Bircher muesli is divine too. No soy milk available, but Zymil and Almond milk. Everybody in this Cafe seems to care, the customer feels at home and relaxed. Open every day except Tuesday. Walk around the corner from Hillsdon Road bus stop, behind the Corner Store and you will find a little piece of heaven.
