After reading the reviews here, I gave this review thing some thought and am not all that sure just what all the negative reviews were on about, I do know in life, you will not please everyone every-time...that is a 100% given. We discovered the Age's Pizza when they were near the rail station and were disappointed (we are not from Werribee) when we returned one time, to see that they were no longer there. Happily they had just shifted. The new place now is much nicer and even comes with a treed/river view, the restaurant is always clean. (although the toilet could do with an upgrade) In our experience there, the staff have always been attentive and polite, our food experiences have only been in the form of Pizza's though, they are sooooo good, that EVERY-TIME we are in Werribee we make it a point to eat there. The only thing I could gripe about though would be the coffee, why serve coffee hot, in a glass that you then can't hold, for me now, I just don't have a ...read more
I'm not a fussy Eater at all but will speak when there is something to be concerned.
They have good pizza that is a given.
But I went there with my partner and I'd have to say that the calamari rings claim to be fresh when they are not
The steak came out still mooing at me while the pepper sauce is just a bit of cream with a little bit of pepper flakes and a shocking after taste
Didn't even give a s*** when I complained and charged me full price shocking want some good advice? Go elsewhere at least u will get what you pay for.
Went to Ages last Friday with my few mates for dinner. This was our first time and this place had a great atmosphere. Ordered garlic breads for entree and a garlic pizza, the breads were bit burnt on the edges but the pizza was amazing. I ordered the veal schnitzel with mushroom sauce and it was huge that I couldn't even finish It and it was absolutely delicious. Didn't like the service as the girls were standing near the bar and chatting up all the time. Anyhow even though the service wasn't that great I will definitely go back for the amazing food.
This used to be a great place but is an absolute shocker these days. The main issue seems to be the owners who run it like a drop in center for their mates. Every time I go in there you'll see them sitting at a table chatting or drinking with someone which begs the question as to who's running their business and keeping an eye on the quality of the food or the service their paying customers have to wear.
As per the other posts the wait staff have no idea what their doing and seem largely unsupervised, "Ages" seems an appropriate name as that's how long it takes to get your food which is fairly sorry as well.
The thing that really got me here was how bad the coffee was, what kind of Italians can't make a caffe latte?
To be avoided.
