This is a genuinely local business which I love in itself. It's clear that the people that run it enjoy their job and I'd suspect it's one or two families. They're happy to show you how they make the cheese and they write up on the glass viewing area what they've made today, they can explain too how they do things.
The best part of course is the cheese, great range and there's tastings of all the varieties for free so you can decide what you love. I love the pepato, nice flavour that's unique - their Italian varieties are great too. Family friendly outdoor area where you can watch the cows making the milk that make the cheese and take some cheesy photos (see what I did there ;-))
totally worth stopping into for a visit on the way to Victor Harbor. We had never noticed this place before now, and i think it will become a regular stop over for us. the staff were really nice, and helpful when cheese tasting.
While it was school holidays it was awesome for the kids to sit and watch the cheese makers do their thing and show us how they make cheese.
we enjoyed a coffee and a slice of cheese cake while the kids enjoyed a huge glass of milk! it was lots of fun for the kids to run around outside too.
This is just the best place ever! They don't have a huge range of cheeses but what they do have is spectacular. Definitely worth a stop on your way to or from Victor, they do free tastings and also have a bit of a cafe thing going on. Personal favourite is the cheese curd and the jersey cream. You do not pour this cream, you have to spoon it out - just amazingly good!
