I went into this shop a while back and was asking about getting wedding cakes made....one for me and one for my mums wedding! I was met by a very rude women, I asked if she did cake testing...her reply was does it look like we give away free cake, she was rather abusive when we asked about it....so decided to go else where! i paid over $700 for my wedding cake and my mums was $500.......it doesnt take much to be polite and have customer service skills! Ill never go back, cant believe people treat customers like this!!
I think you may have the wrong cake shop, as we haven't made wedding cakes for over 4 1/2 years. What cakes we do make, are mainly sponge or mud Birthday Cakes. We also mainly sell cake supplies.
it was 2011 when i went into your shop! i did say it was a while ago and it was when it was located next door to china rose at browns plains! it has just always bugged me how rude I was treated and was disgusted and I needed to post my experience!
would not recommend this shop to anyone, repeatedly been treated badly and with rude responses from owner, other staff are just as rude bad mouthing other businesses and people unless they are working with them, they treat their customers as inferior people and don't offer advice or help when asked cakes are stale and not good quality and if there is a problem the response is too bad
new larger shop has not changed the attitudes, and purchasing from other small businesses then re selling is a bit dishonest
Over the years we have purchased many cakes from this local cake shop. Always have done a great job and have turned out as ordered/pictured. They can cater anything from small slab to beautiful wedding cakes. Defiantly recommended to other locals in the area. Have also noticed they have moved into a larger store recently.

As a new cake maker I asked the staff behind the counter for help choosing fondant. Staff was very rude so I just picked one myself. When I got home I tried using it and it crumbled in my hands I took it back and showed staff and staff said " you get what you pay for" had staff helped me in the first place I wouldn't have wasted money on such a bad product. Because it wasn't expired staff wouldn't give me a refund.
All About Cakes, stock 3 different brands of icings and it comes down to personal choice. For beginners, this time of year there are 2 factors to consider when working with icing, humidity & inexperience. Suggest to check out You Tube or do a beginners course. Not necessarily the product at fault. At no time was any icing returned for myself or staff to inspect.
I love this place and the cakes taste amazingly good, I could totally live off them if I could lol. However they don't put the icing on the cakes as thick as they used to, they used to put an inch thick of icing on the cakes but they don't anymore. but if they fixed that up i would keep returning as i do anyway, the lady that makes the cakes was really helpful when i was looking for some eatable glitter and was friendly and east to talk to, lovely lady, i have never had a bad experience with this little shop of all the years we have gone there as I have a huge family and we get all of our birthday cakes from here :)
