Alma Tavern

From the minute we made our late booking at 6pm for 7pm dinner to the time we left we had exceptional service. Kyle was both accomodating, refreshing and welcoming on the phone. The food here was phenomenal. I am a fussy cow and a good cook. This place nailed it and I don't often say that!!! Kudos to the chef!! The staff were wonderful and the decor is spectacular. Will be returning again, so much on the menu I want to try!! Btw, the security staff were both professional and helpful.

I'll have to say that this is a pretty good pub. Okay, I haven't been here all that often, but I did land up here a couple of times, one of them with a work function. Actually they have a pretty large beer garden, as well as a DJ, and the staff are really friendly. What was also great about the place, at least when I came here, was that it wasn't hugely crowded, which is one of the things that I like about pubs these days (I'm not a big fan of overly crowded pubs, especially since it can be impossible to find a seat). In fact, despite it being a rather hot day, the beer garden was really cool. In a way little has changed, but it does appear that they have completely revamped the beer garden, though the previous beer garden was still pretty impressive as well. Oh, they also had a raffle where you could go into a draw for a free beer.

Security staff are absolutely disgusting the way they go about treating people. Never again.

Do like this bar for a Friday knock off - however does get extremely "rowdy" when it is footy season! Great food.
