Alpenrose Restaurant & Lounge Bar

The Alpenrose Restaurant is situated in the centre of the Grindelwald Swiss Village, which most tourist itinerary's of Tasmania will have as a "Must Visit" the uniqueness of this Tamar Valley Resort, is quite astounding. The Alpenrose restaurant is built in Swiss style like the rest of the village. The dining area has a large European style fireplace , with many glass windows and French doors leading out to a very tidy covered Al Fresco area. The setting is idyllic as you look out across a lake with an island in the centre complete with tress and a fountain. Then your eyes will lead you on to beautifully designed, immaculate Swiss chalets on the hill beyond. A very restful on "Holiday" in Switzerland ambiance. The restaurant caters for breakfast, lunch, dinner. From a varied but selective menu we ordered, two, Thai Pumpkin soups from their daily specials board, also from the special board, Grilled Atlantic Salmon & prawn salad, with avocado, tomato & greens. ...read more
