Anglers Tavern

This pub is one of those awesome pubs where you could simply spend the entire afternoon on one of those really lovely days. In fact the beer garden has simply been set up so you can do just that. I guess the location has an awful lot to do with it, being on the banks of a river, and also located in a rather lovely park. However, it goes beyond that because not only is there a great beer garden, but the also have a pretty decent selection of beers as well.

I went here for lunch with a few friends. Plenty of seating along the river side with large windows, this place has a great atmosphere. The food is quite pricy, but I guess you're paying for that riverside view. But the servings are quite large so I guess it's proportional. Food was quite average I thought but I would still come back as the location is good and there's plenty of parking. Staff were really friendly too!

They are located right on the river. The outdoor deck is spacious. Their new deck and the whole outdoor area gave an open and relaxed atmosphere. Came here on the weekend a nice sunny day. We had the steak and the pork belly. Servings are generous, however the quality of food was a bit dry and lacked flavour. Staff was friendly and attentive. Good place to catch for up drinks or family dinner.

Since my first visit, I've been back a few times with a large group of friends on Thursday for trivia night which is extremely fun! It's free, a lot of people play and there's a really fun environment that's suitable for all ages as I saw families, friends and elderly people all participating in the trivia. The trivia host is a great host and very fun and entertaining. Will definitely keep coming back to try and win the trivia hopefully one day.

An extremely large venue, both indoors and outdoors. I found both the staff that escorted us to our table and the staff that took our order were both impatient and unfriendly. But apart from the unfriendly staff, the food was good, pricing was reasonable and environment was great. I had the lamb shanks which was delicious, as always, the meat came right off the bone, the serving size was very generous and I left feeling so full. I'd definitely be back to try other items on the menu, and with a group of friends for the fun environment.
