What once used to be what we considered the best fish & chips on the mid Gold Coast is now just another ordinary fish & chip shop at best, fish & chip shop, RUDE STAFF, COOKING OIL DIRTY, and TOO HOT, constantly getting the orders wrong. We used to travel from suburbs away but now on the hunt for a new fish & chip shop replacement...

I recently went to Village Seafoods to buy some hot chips. This was the first and only time I will be going to this hell hole. The staff member serving me was covered in sweat, and very grumpy. The staff member was in the middle of cooking some poor souls food when I came in. Hygiene is reprehensible. This staff member took my money for my hot chips (which I didn't eat for fear of food poisoning) then proceeded to scoop out my chips with her bare unwashed hands, then continued to pick up a piece of raw fish for another customer and back to my chips. Needless to say, I will not be returning, which is a shame as I only live down the road. Shocked.
