Attic Bar @ Arthouse Hotel
The Attic nightclub is located on the uppermost level of The Arthouse Hotel in Pitt Street, Sydney. Whilst it is quite a climb to the top, you will be rewarded. With rich hues, comfortable seating including gorgeous leather lounges, this is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city below. Serving a range of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails, you will be spoilt for choice. With the The Arthouse Hotel playing host to a range of nights including a life drawing class and photography workshop, this is a great venue for pre- or post-event drinks.

This is a really convenient place to have a drink after work. My only criticism is that it gets very very noisy and it is hard to have a chat. However, if you are just looking for a quick beverage before continuing on with your weekend, it is great.
The food can be good too. The bar menu is always changing.
The staff are exceptionally professional, as noted by other reviewers. I think this adds to the atmosphere.
The Arthouse Hotel also has some very nice initiatives. For example, life drawing was an activity I enjoyed here for a number of years. The price was minimal and the opportunity to get a live model outside of art school was really valuable. Thank you Arthouse!

First time going to The Arthouse Hotel & overall it was quite good. Easy to get to location, good atmosphere & great dj playing all the latest tunes. The drinks are usual city bar prices & having arrived after 12 the drinks were served in plastic cups which was really retro. Overall a great place for a night out with friends.
The Arthouse is one of the better of the drinking spots in this part of the city. Its location makes it a good place for a post-work drink and if heading straight from work it is fairly easy to get a table and settle in with a nice bottle of wine and a dips plate. The main room of the Arthouse is a large high-ceilinged area with polished floorboards and a stage area for bands. There is a quieter room off to the side of the ground floor which is cosy for a drink and also good if you fancy eating a proper meal. There is also the upstairs area which often have some good jazz musicians playing, a lounge area and then a more formal dining area. Ive never actually eaten in the restaurant/dining area but I have to say that the pizzas are pretty good. Sometimes weve gone to pop in here before a show at the State Theatre but its been absolutely heaving with people so weve gone to Marble Bar instead. That has usually been on a Sunday though and it looked like some kind of function. ...read more
