I bought a european vehicle from Sydney Auto World and it was the worst car buying experience that i've had. I was almost home, which was just over an 1 hr away, when the coolant light came on. After topping it up, the light came on again 2 -3 days later. After taking off the plastic shield under the engine to have a better look, i noticed it was leaking coolant, and also oil. Before calling them i decided to have the car checked by a european car specialist. I wasn't happy as they found the obvious coolant and oil leaks. They also found worn suspension bushes and the tyres were quite low. I called them and sent them a copy of the issues with the car and they said that someone would call me back. After not hearing from them for a couple of days i called them several times over the next 2 or 3 weeks and they kept telling me that the person i had to speak to was either busy, not available or just not at work that day. I felt like they didn't even want to discuss ...read more
DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS. AUTOWORLD ARE MISLEADING AND DECEPTIVE. i bought a car just recently for 8,000 and the indicators & hazard lights stopped whilst i was driving on the M4. I get home and there's oil leaking from the bottom along with the tyres being worn out. I ask for a refund within 2 hours and they refuse, swearing and abusing my mother and i on the phone. They suggest i drive the car back with my blinkers not working, risking other drivers around me. I take it to fair trading and we end up in a tribunal meeting with SAM who agrees on fixing all the issues wrong with it. They pick up the car from my residence & they fail to start the car so i get a family member to jumpstart it. They bring out their admin girl to drive the car with a ute behind them instead of the ''tow truck'' they promised. They then return the car and i drive it for 20 minutes. Park the car, attempt to drive it again and it doesn't start! I jumpstart it for the 3rd time ...read more

We bought a car yesterday and following payment advised us about a new government tax whereby cars purchased under $10,000 would require us to pay a fee of $395. Otherwise not doing so results in a $600 dollar fine.
This was NOT the case. There was no such thing and they stated it was an admin fee following us ringing them back and insisted that everything they have told us was not the case.
Do NOT use government law as a means to cover your costs and make extra cash. You will be reported to NSW Fair Trading and the ACCC under the Misleading and deceptive conduct.
No attempt made to resolve dispute immediately. They kept insisting to 'ring us back'.
Upon further investigation there was no such thing. So we gave them a ring to notify so and they deliberately said it was an admin fee and completey disregarded all that was said regarding this so called government fee. We will process this complaing to NSW Fair Trading and the ACCC for further investigation. They had no remorse nor did they want to resolve our situation.
I was told about this payment as well. I paid it because I didn't know any better and needed a bigger car as I am a single mum with 2 children with special needs and needed the room. they told me I had to pay that amount and then I got a car that was unregistered which they registered for me for 6 months at my cost which I believe they over charged me on and then they did a blue slip over the phone for $90 which I later found out was illegal and not the right price. I brought the car home and had a friend look over it and it had 4 tyres that had no tred and then it also had a oil leak problem that would make it unroad worthy. I just wanted to cry as I felt that they had taken advantage of a single mother with children with special needs. I had to get rid of the car 2 months after having it as it was that dangerous. do not trust these people.

A refundable deposit of $2,000 was taken by Auto World Sydney against a Range Rover Sport with a view to purchase, subject to vehicle inspection and identity verification (vehicle was advertised under Private Seller (Michael) as a 2014 SDV6 model, sale price of $114,500). Conflicting independent vehicle verification reports and conversation with previous owner implied the vehicle was a TDV6 and not an SDV6 as advertised. No vehicle information had been entered in the vehicle warranty booklet and Michael admitted changing the vehicle model identity badge to Autobiography because â??it looked like oneâ??
The seller promised to refund the $2,000 but to date has not done so and now refuses to take calls, the business representatives do not return calls or ...read more
