Had my car towed there (by agreement) because it wasn't starting. A week later I was told that the problem was electrical and AIS couln't fix it. I had to have the car picked up by tow truck again, when it was dropped back to me the same day the battery was dead flat. Questionable service.
On 21st June 2017 I took a trailer for inspection at Automotive Inspection Services Mandurah.
I paid a fee of $65.30 for this inspection and was informed that some minor work was required to make it roadworthy.
The cost of the work was $80.00 which I was happy to pay and I left the trailer with them to carry out the work.
When I went to collect the trailer the following day, I was informed that I would have to pay a further $51.00 for a ‘re-inspection’.
Seeing as the trailer did not leave the premises and that Automotive Inspection Services carried out the work, I don’t see how I should have to pay a re-inspection fee.
I don’t understand how this can be justified.
Could you please find out why a re-inspection is required, when the company carried out the work and why it has to be paid for?
It seems ludicrous to me, as any remedial work was carried out by them and would not have needed checking.
