Avenues Tavern
The Avenues Café & Bar is centrally located in the heart of the eastern suburbs on the corner of Payneham Road and Nelson Street Stepney. Just a short distance from the Parade Norwood. We have a fully refurbished interior and vine covered alfresco seating for year round dining. Open for lunch and dinner daily from 12-2:30pm and 6-8:30pm, the Avenues Café & Bar offers a new café menu, full bar facilities and monthly drink specials.
Our chefs have created a contemporary seasonal menu using fresh local produce including a selection of pizza, pasta, salads and pub classics. Enjoy a meal in our updated bistro or relax outside in our alfresco dining area.

This is a pretty ordinary pub, though since I had a friend that lived around the corner I would come here every so often just to pop in for a drink and a chat. There isn't anything all that fancy about the place, though it does have a nice trellis beer garden (but then again I have been to a lot better beer gardens). The staff were pretty nice, and they actually had some craft beers on tap, though I would hardly call this a craft beer bar. In a way this pub probably needs a bit of a makeover, especially since it is in the inner suburbs. However, it is also one of those shopping centre pubs (not that there are many in Adelaide) which is next to the Avenues Shopping centre. For a pub located in one of the classier areas of Adelaide, it is pretty ordinary I have to admit.
