Bangor Tavern

The Tavern has gone downhill since new management took over nov 2017. There used to be great service with great staff and fantastic DJ's friday nights and live music on saturday nights. The tavern feels like a whole different place now and its not good. Food is beyond average, lockout has just been introduced, and it doesnt seem as family friendly as it used to be when old management was in place. It's unfortunate but my friends, family and myself take our business elsewhere now.

Shame they are no longer family-friendly. Can't order a meal at the bar if you have a child with you. In trouble if you're a single parent! But there's no where else to order?? Maybe that why there's not as many families of a Monday or Tuesday anymore.

Considering the food is quite ordinary at best, I had to laugh at a couple of regulars being asked to leave, because they were eating a salad roll bought from the local lunch bar!

Be mindful about going here on a Monday or Tuesday night when their $11 steak and schnitzels are on.

4 consecutive weeks my order did not come out and was wrong, cold, and on one occassion not cooked (after waiting over an hour).



I think they struggle with the high order demands and it shows in the quality of the service/food.

Every few weeks the girls and i get together for a quick mid week lunch to catch up on all the latest news and gossip. To find somewhere where the service is quick but the food tasty can sometimes be a bit tricky.
