Located in busy Salamanca Place. If you sit outside it is a lovely place to people watch. Extensive beverage menu which is well priced. When we visited the kitchen was closed so we could not sample the food, but the drinks were great and the service was pleasant and efficient.
Always a favourite for getting together with friends for lunch and breakfast. Staff have always been attentive and friendly at this time. But would not recommend for dinner service. Staff and management do not seem to be able to juggle the transition from restaurant to bar. They would be better off just offering a tapas style menu because the staff only seemed to be interested in serving the after work drinkers the particular Friday night we were having a quick bite to eat. That being said, still one of my favourite places in Salamanca.
The fact that Tasmanian Royalty (Princess Mary of Denmark) had made her way to the Barcelona Bar on a recent trip was reason enough for my wife and I to investigate this little bar in a quiet plaza off the main strip of Salamanca Place. The day was cold when we went looking for lunch but this place was warm and inviting with a log fire in the corner and gas heaters on the wall illuminating the restaturant a nice shade of red. The wall on one side looks like it's seen a few things and could tell a story and it's simple rustic look is typical of this part of the world. Again, the high ceilings and wooden floor make this a vibrate place to meet and eat.
