BBQ King is such a food institution in Sydney. Always a great place for a late night feed. Located on Liverpool Street near Chinatown.
After meeting some friends for drinks, it was getting late and needed something that was quick and simple to eat. Walked past here and harking back to my childhood where a plate of rice with bbq meats were a staple, I decided I wanted to have some tonight.
I was greeted at the front door quite quickly and seated immediately. A complimentary pot of tea and bowl of soup were presented to me. I decided to ...read more
Finding BBQ King's new location was like running into an old friend. I have very fond memories of late-night BBQ duck feasts. Our customary Peking Duck ($14/2 pieces) arrives almost simultaneously, and I’m pleased to report, the fat, juicy slabs of duck still number among Sydney’s best. This place was so busy and the front entrance looks quite unassuming until you look up and level from the street and see all the guests dining inside! We got the seafood pancake for entrees and it was so tasty I could of had it for my main as well. The seafood was soft and not too chewy. I really liked the sides they had here especially the boiled and marinaded sweet potato. We were really happy with the marinaded meat and seafood we ordered to BBQ. The marinade was really delicious and well balanced in flavour! It's such a great place for family and groups of friends to eat! We really enjoyed ourselves!
