We made a booking and paid a deposit at the beginning of this year only to be told in August that the price had increased by almost 62%! When we queried why there was such a massive increase they told us that had accidentally quoted us the incorrect rate back in January. Despite seven emails and three phone calls to management they would not respond and we were simply advised by the reception staff that no further correspondence will be entered into. It is also extremely unprofessional that they would not even bother to respond to an email or make one phone call. Its disgusting and they expect customers to pay for their mistake and will not honour the quote we were initially given and had accepted. Needless to say, we wont be holidaying here! I would suggest to Beach Haven they get their quoting system sorted out and invest in customer service training.
We stayed at the resort for 1 week. In a powered camping site in the which we had a camper trailer. We checked in they said there is a fee of $20 for boom gate which we were never told about.
We went to our camp site and reversed our trailer in. The people next door had a caravan which was half on our site which we had paid for. We rang management and I said we are not going to fit and that the caravan next to us is on our side. The manager came down they said we had to make it fit and then walled off. We started setting up and at this time i was not happy my partner continued putting trailer together I rang them back again and I said look I'm not happy w enable ...read more
Where to start??? The room had a really offensive odour due to the communal skips that were located 2 metres from the bedroom window that were full of rotting prawn and fish skins, lace curtains in the kitchen had mould spots, stove elements were corroded, air in the pipes made a shower near impossible due to the noise, the floor plan shown on the website was not the same as we the room we were allocated. we were expecting a room with a single bed and double on the bottom type bunks and were given a single bunk and 1 single bed so did not have enough linen as it is not supplied. there is a $20 fee for a boom gate card that is not mentioned until you have have confirmed your booking, the heated pool is freezing, the advertised sauna and spa, the BBQ facilities, tennis courts and WI FI are an additional charge which is not mentioned. There is minimal phone/internet reception. I also found having to wear a fluro yellow wrist band (including my infant ...read more
The online photos look way better than the reality! The facilities are OK, but not amazing. On the website they advertise amenities such as a sauna, spa, etc., but what they don't tell you is that you have to pay extra for all of that. They even charge for the use of gas barbecues.
I was overcharged and would not have discovered this had I not compared notes with my friends who were also at the campsite. It took them 2 days and lots of haggling to sort it out. I failed to receive an explanation or a sincere apology. Will not go there again.
