Lovely old style hotel overlooking Merewether Beach. Fully Renovated with shared facilities. Close to the Newcastle CBD, shops, public transport.Located on Scenic Drive next to Merewether Surf Club, The Beach Hotel overlooks the picturesque beaches of Merewether, Dixon Park and Bar Beache. Also of note is Stryzlecki Lookout where hang gliders can be watched on most weekends.
Came here for a business lunch on Tuesday 17 March 2015. There was ample choices on the menu to choose from and a good atmosphere. Outdoor seating was good, nice to be able to be above street level to be able to get a nice view of the beach across the road.
The food was nice, just right for lunch and a salad a friend ordered was massive (check out the member photos). Nice place and will be going back again one day. Missed out on that 5th star due to the place just looking a little tired (could do with a facelift), however all in all, great!
