My family and I attended the cafe for the first time about a month ago, we thought it looked like a nice place with a funky beach vibe. We were sadly mistaken. Soon after entering, we were sternly asked "what name?". I said we hadn't made a booking (not realising it was a popular place and we just walked in off the St) the dude (I think head waiter or boss?) proceeded with an annoyed scowl on his face saying how busy it gets. I then apologised saying we didn't realise and were happy to go elsewhere. He found us a table. When we ordered our meals the girl at the counter made it clear in her attitude and lack of customer service that she'd rather be elsewhere. I ordered Prawns in a coconut sauce. We have been fans of this place for many years now, but I doubt that we will bother going back after an appalling evening there on New Years night.

This place can be hard to get into. It is wise to book a table - unless you are happy with take away.
Beach House has fantastic rustic decor, some top house wines as well as an excellent wine list and, most importantly, gourmet wood oven pizzas - tres chic and original.
Then again, it has sizzling North Indian curries starring the Chicken Tindaloo which is hotter than a vindaloo.
It also has a stunning foreshore view.
