Beach Road Hotel

Great place to watch sport and play pool or meet up with friends. The food has impoved also. The outdoor courtyard is also great in summer.

To be honest with you from the outside this place looks really tacky. In fact when I first visited this pub I thought that the inside was pretty tacky as well. It simply seemed to be one gigantic sports bar. However I had simply walked into the pub, grabbed a beer and sat in the first seat that I could find. This time I decided to have a bit more of a look around and discovered that there is actually more to this place than the sports bar that you see from walking into it. Okay, it has a number of pool tables but what I quite liked was the beer garden out the back where they have live bands playing. It is especially a cool place on those nice days where everybody seems to flock down to Bondi beach. While it may be nowhere near as crowded as some of the the other pubs, it still draws a pretty large crowd.

Wow!!!!! This pub has emerged to be a jewel in the pub scene in the east. Love the atmosphere and all the different sections. Went for an impromptu meal here and wasn't disappointed. Great food which provides value for money and huge selection. All the food is fresh and made fast, even on a busy Thursday night. They have deals of the day which makes it even better again

Honestly, it gets way too packed to even enjoy being in here. The line at the bar is always ridiculously huge, and the bartenders are always rude. It's probably only good when there is a match or a game on and there's plenty of space for everyone to watch it on the big screens. Their food is pretty good too.

We went for the afl grand final and it was all so well organised. Huge screens about, a band and a really funky vibe too.
