I bought the family meal deal today, was thoroughly disappointed by the quality of the meal. The fish was rather pallid and not crispy. I felt as though the calamari was overcooked and the chips were rather oversalted.
In all, I was quite disaapointed, especially given the price.
just a week ago i went to get my lunch . So, i decided to get fish and garden salad for my lunch . after couple of minutes i went to get my lunch and i was in my work place when i was about to eat my lunch what i saw was just a piece of fish and salad . fish was Ok about salad i can hardly belive . i have been buying my lunch from this place very often this time i didnt ordered chips because the chips they serve is not that good as what its supposed to be , as being a chips lover i know what a good cheaps taste like and talking about salad this time it was full of tomatoes and a slice of some onions , cucumber, and two small piece of fetta cheese . i wont be going back again thats too much for me ...................
2 weeks ago, after reading all the positive reviews of the fish & chips served at this seafood shop, we decided to go there and try the highly recommended fish & chips. Yes, the quality was actually very good indeed. However, we noticed there was a sign at the corner that said: "Under New Management". Today, we went there again and also brought some friends along to have the highly anticipated fish & chips lunch. This time, we nervously noticed that the 2 people preparing the food were new and unfamiliar. The lunch was sadly disappointing. The battered fish was very oily. Also, the battered fish must have stayed in the oil too long, so much so that when the fish was served to us, the battered skin was rather hard instead of crispy. It was amazing that within just 2 weeks, the standard of the highly-rated battered fish has dropped. This is the BEST fish and chips in the area. We grab a meal here every Good Friday and whenever we are passing. I just can't think of anywhere more friendly and with kinder people. The homemade salads are to die for as well! WONDERFUL service and good food...what more can you ask for!
