What huge letdown. Especially when the accommodation was fantastic. Overpriced for the tiny amount you get. In a regional area you should get better value for money. Why so stingy? The most disappointing thing was the blandness of both my entre and main. Although the staff and service were great, it was the meal that I came for. Perhaps it was the new menu? Such a shame it would have capped off a fantastic getaway
Bellbrae Harvest is a gourmet, award winning restaurant tucked away off the Great Ocean road, on the way to Angelsea. Next time you are planning a road trip, be sure to take a detour and stop by this delightful gourmet food restaurant for lunch. This country style restaurant, over-looks a lily covered dam with an alfresco terrace for summer out-door dining and an open fire indoors for winter. My husband and went for lunch and I enjoyed the roast chicken breast, avocado mousse, truffle polenta mash, and spring greens and a bottle of the Rockferry Organic Sauvignon Blanc, $40. Over all the prices match the quality of craftsman ship in the food, quality of ingredients,
and the service. All excellent, and I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to any foodie,
wanting a regional dining experience, that is off the beaten track, sourcing the freshest of local ingredients.
