i had the worst meal i've ever had at the 16's today...we went there for my Dads 78th birthday and i ordered the lamb loin chops special with mashed potato.The lamb chops were so gristly you were lucky to get 1 bite out the 2 were were served.The only other thing i had with this meal was potato bake and the bloke dishing out food was lucky to put just over a spoonful on my plate and my parents plate...rang them up yeah they didn't care,next time let us know if it happens again and we'll look into it..thanks for spoiling my 78 year old Fathers Birthday..we might not mean much to you but my elderly Father means a lot to me..so sad you you don't care as long as you got your money....there are certainly lots better places to go for a celebration which we will all do next time

Once again we are sorry to hear of this and have received your message on multiple platforms now. We politely disagree that our staff do not care, it was only mentioned to you that if you bring the matter to our attention at the time we can do something about it such as replace or refund your meals if necessary. We are unable to get to the bottom of things like an incorrect portion size or meal that doesn't meet our usual standards if the issue wasn't brought to our attention at the time.
Without any specific details, we can only apologise unreservedly and wish your father a happy birthday and hope you can enjoy the rest of your evening with him.

the only reason you saying this now is because i did share my review on numerous sites and you don't like that..you did not care when i brought this to your attention at lunchtime.My father had a dreadful birthday because of your non caring attitude and treatment of him and at 78 he deserves more respect.Pleae don't patronise him now on his birthday..he may not be special to you because we are just another customer but to me his birthday means a lot to me and to patronise him now to make yourself look good and caring is well below the belt..i even sent you a pic of the meat and yeah no apologies then
The family recently caught up at the club for a birthday, none of us had been there before and none of us were disappointed. There was ample parking, staff at the door were helpful, bar staff and coffee shop staff were great. Finding a table for lunch was simple, the bistro staff were also very helpful. You get 2 choices either pre-prepared meals, that you cue up for and take back to your table or you can order from the other side a meal cooked *fresh* off the menu. Of course, these meals are slightly more expensive and take longer to prepare. There is a club membership discount at the bar and for the meals which is always helpful. The club sits on the edge of Lake Macquarie and we were lucky to get a table overlooking the lake. The food was lovely was warm, and there was plenty on the plate for the money -(good value for money). The sixteen foot sailing club underwent major renovations a couple of years ago to include a lovely cafe area. Given that the location of the sailing club is in one of the prettier spots on Lake Macquarie, a coffee or meal here is far from the usual 'club' experience.
