The food is nice, but the service is terrible. I have been there several times in the hope that they were just having an off day and it would get better but it's actually gotten worse. They continually run out of food, particularly the meat dishes, even if you book and get there early. The wait service is so slow that you have to ask them to take your order. On one occasion ordered and then waited for nearly an hour, watching whilst other people who ordered after us got their meals, only to be told they had run out of the meal we had ordered. The meals are very inconsistent, people next to us were served there's on dinner plates and when we asked for the same meal it came out as a much smaller serving on smaller plates. This is not acceptable when you are paying $25 per meal. Any complaints to staff are taken with complete disinterest and not dealt with. Don't waste your time or money. I certainly won't be going back.

a group of 12 of us had high tea yesterday, there were approx.7 groups of people doing the same. High tea goes from 3-5pm...odd time yes..worth it..no. $30 for a cramped table, broken chairs, no service and poor quality food...it's a pity as the building is lovely albeit run down. Triangle sandwiches arrived at 3:40, other savoury bits arrived soon after..water at 3:50, 2 bottle of sparkles at 4, then at 4:20 the worst scones ever..they were cakes and a very ordinary meringue..at 4:30 2 pots of tea...we had to share 1 strainer amongst 12 people...plus share knives...just not worth it...save your money.

i have only visited the cafe once and had a lovely morning tea in the courtyard with friends. Now, when I want to take my family they are closed all over Easter. What a pity the opening times aren't more visitor friendly.

I came here owing to a deal they were offering - I hadn't heard of it before then.

The setting has a lot of potential, but I fear that the current staff are lost for how to use it. They have gone for a quaint ecclectif feel to the decor, but they miss the right mark with a few clunky pieces of furniture, some cliched clutter and a floor plan that they haven't made the most of.

They should be told that glass ware needs a polish - as it detracted from my confidence that I had for their standards.

The food however was very nice - really good flavours, nice and fresh, and I enjoyed eating it. I got some cakes to take home and they were very generous portions.

The service is polite but not very organised. I hope they can tend to these issues and become a thriving success. At the moment though, I'd return to grab some takeaway cakes, but I'd hesitate at booking a table again.
