Phoned about my slow running computer and received friendly and practical over-the-phone advice. Their repair rates were very reasonable and they also provide take the money spent on the check up off the cost of the repair, essentially costing me nothing to have an expert opinion. I should have phoned you weeks ago!

My personal experience: Paid for a laptop which turned out to be used. How do I know it's used? They turned the laptop on in front of me and showed me the laptop's functions. A new laptop has a typical start up function/procedure, i've bought enough laptops to know what a new laptop should do. I asked for my deposit back and they declined. After I got fairwork involved in my case, they told the officer the laptop was new and I just changed my mind. In the end, I obviously got my deposit back.



And no, I am not a competitor.

And, Yes, I have emails to back up my experience.

WOW! What an interesting range of comments. I believe it's unfair to be so scathing of somebody when a manufacturer's item is faulty. Providing BD4U act promptly to rectify the situation then they shouldn't be condemned. SO! My story is simple: I have purchased a custom made desktop replacement Clevo 17" workstation/notebook. The advice and assistance I was given was superb in all respects and the price was reasonable - especially in such a tough market that's flooded with consumer 'junk' that makes business practically futile. SO happy am I with them, that I am buying another notebook (though not $7k worth) from them - and recommend them to corporate associates who REQUIRE performance and support. I suppose people have their bad days, but from my experience, I have no qualms about returning to them in the future. I have bought many PC's and laptops from BD4U, they have the cheapest prices in Brisbane, higher quality of product and their service is just fine. While some things may take a few weeks to order (3-4weeks, things that are not part of their regular stock, eg. iPads, eeePC's, Aspire One etc) if you knew the amount of business they rollover, then complaining about this should not be a priority. BD4U prices are simply unbeatable, they have a huge collection of stock that they can get the BEST price for and pass this on to us.

I ordered and paid in full for a HP Envy 15 laptop on the 24th Nov 2009, having been advised that stock would be available within the week. After numerous broken promises, it was finally delivered on the 24th Dec 2009. Shortly after receipt I noticed that the laptop had a problem with the screen which other users had similar problems with. I contacted HP who authorised a refund and had accepted return of the laptop. I then experienced an almighty struggle to try and obtain a refund from BD4U. It was only after direct intervention by HP and QLD Office of Fair Trading was a refunded provided.
