VERY UNHAPPY!!
Customer service is terrible and we were charged for returning the equipment late when we actually returned it an hour early!!
When picking up the hire equipment we were told the return time, however when we went to return the equipment (an hour early!) we were charged a late fee which we were told we had to pay or we could not leave! The staff serving us was rude and when we explained what had happened they told us we were wrong!
We hire from a lot of places, such as Coates Hire, and will NEVER return to Better Rentals in Pakenham! A MUST AVOID!
We're sorry to hear this person isn't happy. There's 2 sides to every story and we feel this person is being unfair and misrepresenting what happened. We aren't in the business of "tricking" people into extra charges. It gets a small company like ours nowhere.
And we're sorry the hirer didn't take the time to attempt to resolve any perceived unfairness with us directly either via phone or email from our website before posting his complaint online.
We have only charged one person a "late return fee" (returned 8 hours late and we charged about half what we should have for the extra time ) in the past 6 weeks - and we think we were more than fair.
We understand we can't keep all people happy - but we have been in Pakenham since 1988 with the same owners and that doesn't happen if you're unfair to your customers.
