Big Boy BBQ

Came here during lunch on a weekday, it was quite busy during lunch time. Customer service and food came out was a bit slower.

This BBQ was a hit, there was a few selection of sauces available. However, the sauce was a little on the sweeter side than other places but expected for southern BBQ. The standard portion size is decent amount for people/group of people. We shared a Big Boy Platter amongst friends and there was enough for 5 of us.The platter has good variety of all the meats available from their menu.

I cannot explain how wonderful their pulled pork is - it made my week!

Only been here the once for a quick, unexpected burger but mmmm, it was good, not to mention the chips & the onion rings! I wanted to go to Big Boy when the only option was in Caulfield (or somewhere like that) but now I get to access my American BBQ craving in the city! Oh yeah! A good range of options, covering burgers, sandwiches, ribs & chicken with all the usual USA sides! It made me want to come back again & try the chicken & the ribs, which I will do & that'll involve a follow-up & more detailed review!

The ribs are not bad here, it's a great place for a quick lunch but in terms of a quality meal, then not so much. If you have a ribs craving then it's enough to satisfy it, they're not dry and cooked long enough to come right off the bone, but it just doesn't quite have that bbq taste to it. The burgers aren't recommended. I had the new yorker and I was very disappointed. You do get a nice American vibe from this place though, with all the condiments on each table and the drink dispenser. A great place for a group of people in a fun environment, but not so great if you're after quality food. Quite pricey too I might add.
