We have purchased 2 vehicles from Billy's, the first vehicle was great and we didn't encounter any problems, the second vehicle there was an issue with the emission system after a short period and could not have received more assistance, the service was excellent, everything was done to resolve the issue and everyone is always so friendly and helpful, we would not hesitate to recommend them. After spending six weeks researching the car market for Land Cruisers I believe i got a good honest deal and am really happy with my purchase and trade in. The sales people were efficient, friendly, honest and cooperative. With the information they provided I was able to track and confirm the validity of the vehicle's history (ownership, service and mileage). Having been to many of the leading brand dealerships I appreciated that they were just selling me an honest car - not a finance deal, extended warrantee or paint protection plan! Am reluctant to write a bad review about Billys Cars as the salesman who sold me the vehicle was so helpfull and charming,but feel pretty much let down by their after sales service. Purchased a late model van just out of manufacturers warranty, a couple of weeks ago for $22,000.Yesterday I had to get it towed to my mechanic as clutch slave cylinder died. The repair entails removal of the gearbox,drive shafts etc.
I understand there's no statuary warranty on commercial vehicles but Ive just been left without any assistance toward the cost of fixing this vehicle.When I was in retail I would have forgone any profit in an attempt to keep good customer relations and avoid lousy reviews like this.
When you purchased this vehicle you were aware that commercial vehicles are sold without warranty. The first time you contacted us regarding this issue you told us that the clutch was gone and needed replacing, which turned out to be 100% false- as when we spoke to your mechanic we were told it was just a slave cylinder that had gone. All our vehicles are checked by one of our mechanics before it is offered for sale, but cars are cars and sometimes things go wrong, and if we had to fix everything on every no warranty car we would not be here. We sell 70 cars a month and yours is the only complaint we have received in the last 10 years of business.
