Signed up to True Local to add a bit of balance to Alfred's very negative review. I have been going to Birol's Barber Shop for the last three years or so and have generally been extremely impressed with the quality of service provided. On the one occasion when a new barber wasn't quite cutting my hair as requested, Birol came across from his station and explained exactly how it was that my hair should be cut.
Not sure whether Birol overheard my description of how I wanted my hair cut or remembered me from previous visits, but I was very happy with the end result of that visit despite a few moments of worry early on. I thought it was pretty impressive service from Birol.
I'd say that 85% of the haircuts I have at Birol's are great, 10% are okay and 5% are meh. My experience with other hairdressers in the area was more like 25% okay, 25% meh and 50% just plain bad. I'll stick with Birol's thanks =)
Service is usually good but recently it took a turn for the worst. I walked out of the Barbershop with an irritated scalp and hair that looks incredibly bad. I asked for a "Philly fade" style and for them to shape the front, the poor staff couldn't even do a straight line, not that I asked for it, a good barber would have known how to compliment ones natural hairlines or at least to ask the customer a few questions regarding the cut. The quality of cut has dropped tremendously since the second last time I visited. This staff gave a rushed cut and "shaping" that pushed back my hairline and cost me my confidence, all on the same night I was graduating from high school. Thank you Birol's barber for a s**t-tonne of ruined graduation photographs.
Could you please able to speak management of the barber shop... please tell them who is cut your hair...
