Blacksmith's Inn

I'm not sure if One Tree Hill is a true 'country town' since it is only a 10 minute drive from Salisbury, but this pub gives the impression that it is (okay, it is a country town). It's not really a true country pub though because it seems to be catered more to people coming up here from the city for a nice meal in a rural setting. The pub itself is really nice with a lovely beer garden out the front, and a view over the vineyards out the back (as well as another garden which I suspect is private property so don't try going and having a beer there). However it was pretty crowded when I stopped by suggesting that it is pretty popular, though since it was around Christmas time, and a Sunday, I suspect there may have been other reasons why it was pretty crowded.

Service was disgusting ordered a normal lasagna and the staff said yes they have them even tho it says vegetarian on menu but clearly stated we didn't want vegetarian when order came the order was wrong so we complained and the customer service was shocking and rude they said they wouldn't replace my meal that I would have to buy something else so I sat there and had nothing. Never will I go back

My wife and I booked a table for lunch at 1 pm and arrived at 12-55. We were shown into the dining room where there were only two other diners so could not be classed as busy. By 1-20 nobody had attended to us even to take drink orders so we decided to leave and never return. This was unacceptable. We traveled to another hotel where we were seated and attended to within five minutes.

Wonderful food & great service! Will be back again

My partner and I Went for dinner, food was terrible, my steak was chewy asked for rare, it came out well done the side of veg was cold and under cooked, service was just as bad, I complained about the food the management came out and was rude, nothing was done. The management looked at it and said maybe steak is a little over done but the vege looks alright! Nothing was offered, would never go back anyway!
