Booked 3 nights away at Killawarra in Blackheath from Melbourne. Looked like a lovely cottage in the photos. But when arrived fire wood was not supplied as advertised also no Tea & Coffee as advertised. Birds coming to the back kitchen window demanding bird seed but none available. Cutlery had to be rewashed and cockroaches were a lovely surprise. Expressed concerns with the management and basically no response.
This guest did not give us an opportunity to rectify the Tea/Coffee and wood during their stay and would have been rectified straight away, even though there was ample wood within the 5 acres of this bush property. Unfortunately due to weather conditions and the location of the property we cannot always ensure insects are kept away especially cockroaches and can be an issue in the cleanest of places. We received numerous demanding emails from this guest (5 in 8 days), during which time we did respond to including 2 unanswered phone calls which were by no means rude. As we are agents we are unable to hand out money from the Trust account without the appropriate investigation and approvals from the respective owner. See Reply everyone now you can see what we dealt with. Book with this company and BEWARE!! Refund was never going to be given House and Company are very bad to deal with so BEWARE everyone anyone wanting a escape go else were instead of this company
The property we stayed at was a nice house, with lovely views. However dealing with Blue Mountains Escapes, the property agent, was a major disappointment. We were charged over $120 for staining one sheet (?) and $50 for the company corresponding with us via email. The inappropriate rude manner of dealing and excessive charges forced us to lodge a complaint with the Department of Fair Trading. New Year Celebrations and mood was completely ruined.
Unfortunately the reviewer does not appear to be the guest who booked with us, however the actual guest refused to pay for additional cleaning as per our Terms and Conditions; the charge was avoided by them cancelling their credit card.
