Bridie O'Reilly's

Nice venue (very similar to the one in Fitzroy). Decent and affordable pub grub. The place is packed Friday to Sunday but usually cosy enough on weekdays to catch up with friends/colleagues. Great for trivia night on Wednesdays.

This is a great venue for a warm summer's night (if we ever have one again!) The problem is that it's so wildly popular that the crowds can make it impossible to enjoy yourself. Unless you turn up while staff is still asleep you can forget parking...

great warm up with a live band with cheap luxury of double deck and huge tv screen inside.
DJ makes it wild on weekends and gorgeous open place to sit around on a usual sunny day.

Bridies used to be a regular spot to call in on a Saturday or Friday night, knowing that the next morning we would have lost our voices from singing "Jessie's Girl, Run to Paradise and Livin' on a Prayer" - yeah i know it is old school, but was always a hoot.



Nowadays the upstairs area is ferral - maybe it always was? The band has always disappeared for an hour at a time - seemingly to play at other pubs in between??
