Booked in for 2 nights as a treat for my husband and myself. I was very disappointed with the whole experience. As it was quite cold there was no heating and the room was freezing. The bathroom had a leak and there was water constantly on the tiled floor. The continental breakfast was very minimal with only 1/2 glass of orange juice a very small bowl of fruit. Cook your own toast with take away butters and take away jams and if you wanted peanut butter/nutella you had to scoop out of a giant jar yourself. Could not find how to make tea or coffee so did not have any. The house smelt of dog and there was cat hair on the dining chairs. This is advertised as a "Boutique Retreat" nothing "Boutique"about it. The only good thing about the experience was the bed was comfortable. I would not recommend this property.
The most amazing day out with the girls. Lovely to be pampered, fed and relax in beautiful surroundings. If you are looking for a really special treat - then this is it. Massage, facial, pedicure, manicure, spa - this is the place to go. A few of us booked in. The day starts by stepping into gowns and relaxing with morning tea - it just keeps getting better. Enjoy.....
