Just a note to express our gratitude to you all at Dr Spots for your care of our beloved cat Jessie over the last ten years. She has been an occasional patient, and has boarded there enough times to warrant a frequent flyer upgrade to business class, while we have been off on our own travels.
A few years ago, one weekend afternoon, Jessie and I had an appointment. I cant remember what for, but it wasnt urgent. We were waiting a long time, and then a case came in that was quite clearly an emergency, so we waited even longer.Dr Geoff thanked me for my patience, but I said that it wasnt a problem I knew that we would be given the same priority treatment in an ...read more
I was with them for 4 years for 3 fur babies and they had so many different vets that it became very impersonal and like going there for the first time everytime. The final straw was when I was in there last and was told its not like your dog is in grave danger so you and your husband should have organised who had the credit card before coming here. I couldnt believe it.....never not paid in my life and this is how I was treated. I even offered to call my husband so he could pay over the phone but still not good enough. Really really bad customer service.....they have lost there touch.
Was sitting in the waiting room with my dog, Grosby at Dr Spots and spotted their notice board chocca-block with thanks and appreciation, which seems to be inconsistant with your experience. I find them great, that's why I keep on coming back :)
I have just purchased a new puppy after many years without having a younger dog and had no idea what to do or where to start. After many phone calls and no one realy able to point me in the right direction i phone Dr Spot's expecting yet the same to busy to help attitude, i was plesently supprised with the information offered to us and the kind nature of this vet hospital. On our first visit we where given a load of information and "Shelby" was even given a take home dog treat after her visit and tail wagging.
When i had just moved into the area, i thought i wouldn't find a vet like my old one. When my little girl ate some chocolate at easter, i didn't know it was poisionus. After trying to reach a few vets, The staff at Dr Spots were more than happy to help and saved my girl. 10 out of 10 and i can finally say i have found our new vet.
Bitterly disappointed with the service of this clinic. Have been a long term patient but despite this and the fact they call themselves a "hospital" they couldn't see my dog in an emergency until the end of the day. In the past, I would have only been too happy to recommend this clinic, but after this incident, never ever again.
We can only try our best based on the infiormation given us, and our resources available. There are occasional times (due to sickness or holiday rostering) where only one vet is on duty and if he/she is already attending to an emergency(ies), such as an urgent caesarian birth, we feel it better to advise that it would be in the pet's interest to see an alternative vet clinic where prompt attention may be available, rather than set up expectations that we can't meet. However, in our defence, we would like to provide a copy of an unsolicted email covering the same subject..
