A trip to Byon Bay isn't usually complete for first time visitors without a trip to the lighthouse. The views of the Bay are spectacular and in whale season, you often get the sea the pods playing or dolphins passing by.
There's a small museum within the building for a short wander.
Being so popular, parking is at a premium and it now costs $7 for a one hour stay (if you're lucky enough to get a park.)
A little cafe is located close by and amenitites, but definitely a great photo opportunity when visting Byron.
A must climb up the hill when in Byron. There is parking right at the top for a handful of cars, although expensive, or you might be lucky enough to secure one near the top for free! Though the best thing is to hike up as the view will add to your breathlessness. Great little caf for a coffee when you reach the top also.
