Lady behind counter was lovely and helpful but no prices on bait when we said we werent from around here she helped us with what was good to use only to find out it was $11 for a very sml bag of prawns and $8.40 for squid. What a rip off the bait shop next door charges on $4 and $5 or go down to the warf and grab 2kgs for $15 and tgen you can eat what you dont use. When we looked at the docket nothing was itemized i feel we were taken advantage of as we were tourist. Avoid at all costs
Sorry about your experience Jodstar54. You must have the businesses mixed up. Carey's Sportsland have always had the prices listed on the bait freezer. The small bags of prawns, squid and pilchards are still all $5.00. Sorry that you feel you were taken advantage of. Please call in again if you are holidaying in beautiful Bowen Nth Qld.
